"Lighthouse Cove" is a mural 36' x 54" and has a driftwood frame. It was painted in Daytona Beach, Florida and was completed in August 2005. The rustic, weather-worn effects are meant to portray strength, endurance, and austere beauty. A script liner brush was used for detail of the floral landscape.
Biography
The Artist: Rosa Foushee grew up in the North Carolina Piedmont, an area situated between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic seacoast. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina and began her teaching career in New York City. She had a gift for art and successfully incorporated it into her academic teaching methods. Her scholars from pre-kindergarten to grade nine accomplished much in goal setting, self discipline, critical thinking, and speaking well.
Rosa earned a Master of Arts Degree from Teachers College- Columbia University and completed thirty post-graduate credits at University of North Carolina- Greensboro; Staten Island University, New York City; Bank Street College, New York City; Brooklyn College, New York City; six post graduate credits in Israel, and various training programs in Daytona Beach, Florida and New York University.
Volunteer
Her contributions have been on a continuous basis in all of her residential communities. They include American Red Cross, Guardian Ad-Litem, and Educational Tour Leader to Germany/Bavaria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, and Austria.
Accomplishments
She is a member of the American Federation of Teachers; American Psychological Association; Psi Chi Honor Society- Columbia University; Who's Who of American Women 2006-2007, and the NAACP, North Carolina. After retiring from teaching she ventured to paint and completed the Eclectic Group of fourteen oil paintings then enrolled in a training workshop for artists and completed three hundred hours in oil painting.
Rosa Foushee Art paintings are 18"x24" and painted on fine linen canvas. Using a special formula of environmentally friendly paint, our paintings are guaranteed to retain their brilliant colors indefinitely. Our artist fee is a modest fifty or seventy five cents per square inch and is incidental to the subject's intrinsic value.

Giclee
Giclee reproductions are copies of an original oil painting. However, giclee does not have tactile definition and is smooth to the touch. Our giclee is printed on fine linen. There is no artist fee and reproduction cost is minimal. Our gallery reproduces all oil paintings that are in stock, sold, or reserved. All giclee reproductions are priced at $150 each.
